Ingredients :
1/2kg prawns
400g grated coconut
Sliced
2 red chillies
2 green chillies
salt, sugar to taste
some banana leaves (steamed and dried)
lidi or cocktail sticks
Ground ingredients :
3 shallots
2 cloves garlic
20g dried prawns
2cm piece ginger
2cm piece galangal
2cm piece dried shrimp paste (fried)
Method :
1. Combine coconut, ground ingredients, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
2. Mix in the prawns, red chillies and green chillies. Stir well.
3. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the mixture on a banana leaf. Then wrap up by bringing the two ends together. Secure neatly with the lidi.
4. Arrange in a steamer and steam for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat, then serve with rice.
